WIP Collaborative is closing its chapter! Founded in 2020 from WIP (Work in Progress | Women In Practice), the collaborative was led by co-founding members Abigail Coover, Bryony Roberts, Elsa Ponce, Lindsay Harkema, Ryan Brooke Thomas, Sera Ghadaki, and Sonya Gimon as a shared practice of independent designers who worked together on design and research projects in the public realm. As WIP Collaborative concludes, members will continue to focus on their respective practices - linked below.

From 2020-2026, WIP Collaborative transformed public spaces in NYC and beyond with vibrant, inclusive, and site-specific installations informed by community voices and local contexts. The collaborative built partnerships to advocate for inclusive public space, gender equity, and neurodiversity. Their award-winning work is recognized and supported by AIANY, Architect’s Newspaper, Beverly Willis Foundation, Bloomberg Citylab, Cultured, Design Trust for Public Space, Metropolis, Urban Design Forum, and the New York Times.

We're proud of the projects, collaborations, and growth that have shaped the past six years, and support each other as we move on to what’s next.

WIP (Work In Progress | Women In Practice) continues as a platform for design collaboration, rethinking conventions of practice, and creating transformative shared spaces.
WIP is a certified Women-owned Business Entity (WBE) in NYC and New York State.
